Location: Serra de Prades (Tarragona) and Sadernes (Girona)
Duration: Two weekends.
Teacher - student ratio: Maximum 1:5.
Price: €250 per person (minimum 4 people). Insurance included. The price includes: Shared group equipment, qualified guides and accident insurance. Each student will have to take their own personal equipment
(this can be hired for €20 per day). The first two days will take place in Tarragona, starting in the morning. If anybody does not have a vehicle, we will try to arrange something.
On the first day we will go to Montral for an introduction within a climbing area. We will cover basic safety, progression and descent manoeuvres.
On the second day we will go down the canyon of Les Fonts del Glorieta, in Montral, which is a beginners’ canyon.
We have the option to sleep at either the Montral or the La Mussara refuges. It costs around 8 euros to sleep or around 20-24 euros for half board (bed, dinner and breakfast).
The next two days we will head towards France, to the canyon of Las Anelles (an hour and a half from Barcelona, near La Jonquera), where we will practise abseiling, jumps and slides. Afterwards, we will go to the campsite at Sadernes (Girona) to descend the canyon of Sant Aniol the following day, which will be the last canyon on the course. This canyon is still easy but a little longer and more complicated than the previous ones.
If you’re interested in taking part in the course let us know as soon as possible, as places are limited. A deposit is required to reserve your place on the course.
